PowerADE Personal Brittney Dodson Brittney Nicole Dodson, the daughter of Greg and Robin Dodson, is a sophmore at Texas A&M and rides as hunter seat on the university's equestrian team.
The 20-year-old Amarillo native and 2006 graduate of Randall High School scored a key victory for the school's equestrian team Saturday in Auburn, Ala. Dodson's record went to 6-2 with an 82-76 win over Auburn's Rebecca Rifkin. Dodson was a freshman for the Aggies, excelling last year with an exhibition win over Baylor's Jillian Anthony, 83-72. She defeated Kelly Albury, 71.5-47.5, in Waco in another exhibition win over Kansas State University's Lindsay Cook in an exhibition flat in College Station on Feb. 25, 2007. She also defeated KSU's Jessica Hensley 79.5-61 a week later in an exhibition flat in Manhattan. Last year she earned a Texas A&M/Verizon Athletics Scholar Award. Dodson is an animal science major with a business minor. She also enjoys dancing, racquetball and soccer and wants to become a veterinarian after graduation. At Randall, Dodson was a member of the National Honor Society and was named outstanding student in chemistry and physics.
