Group: Meet candidates at reception

The League of Women Voters of Amarillo will host a "Meet the Candidates" reception for the public Monday.

The reception will be held in the meeting room off Center Court at the Sunset Center/Art Gallery, 3701 Plains Boulevard.

Refreshments will begin at 6:30 p.m.

The program begins at 7 p.m.

The League also expects to have its Voters Guides available that evening. Early voting for the March 4 primary begins Feb. 19.

The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan organization that does not endorse candidates or political parties but encourages citizens to take an informed and active part in their government.
